Hi. This is Naoki from Greenwich. I’m going back to Japan day after tomorrow. I arrived in Australia in last 21st of April. I still remember my emotion that an\u00a0airplane\u00a0I was in landed in Sydeny. I felt very excited but, at the same time anxious about my new journey. Currently, I am in Melbourne.\u00a0 I could spend 11 months in Australia that is\u00a0unbelievable. Today is my last day in Greenwich, my intern. So, I want to look back my life in Greenwich from now on.<\/p>\n

\u3053\u3093\u306b\u3061\u306f\u3002\u30b0\u30ea\u30cb\u30c3\u30c1\u306e\u76f4\u6a39\u3067\u3059\u3002\u660e\u5f8c\u65e5\u306b\u65e5\u672c\u306b\u5e30\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002\uff11\uff11\u304b\u6708\u3082\u81ea\u5206\u304c\u30aa\u30fc\u30b9\u30c8\u30e9\u30ea\u30a2\u306b\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u4fe1\u3058\u3089\u308c\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002\u4eca\u3067\u3082\u3001\u30b7\u30c9\u30cb\u30fc\u7a7a\u6e2f\u306b\u7740\u3044\u305f\u6642\u306e\u4e0d\u5b89\u3068\u30c9\u30ad\u30c9\u30ad\u3057\u305f\u611f\u60c5\u3092\u899a\u3048\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002\u4eca\u56de\u306f\u3053\u3053\u3067\u50cd\u304f\u306e\u304c\u6700\u5f8c\u306e\u65e5\u306a\u306e\u3067\u3001\u30b0\u30ea\u30cb\u30c3\u30c1\u3067\u904e\u3054\u3057\u305f\u65e5\u3005\u3092\u632f\u308a\u8fd4\u3063\u3066\u307f\u305f\u3044\u3068\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Before I came to Greenwich, I had never done an office work. I kept wondering what office work is like. Also, I want to work overseas in the future. I have 2 years left before i graduate from my university. Considering it, I thought it is the best time to discover\u00a0what office work is like. So, I applied for this internship. It cost about $1.400 which is not cheap but, I thought\u00a0 I have done the great shopping.<\/p>\n

\u3053\u3053\u306b\u6765\u308b\u524d\u306f\u3001\u30aa\u30d5\u30a3\u30b9\u30ef\u30fc\u30af\u306f\u3057\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u306a\u304f\u3001\u30aa\u30d5\u30a3\u30b9\u30ef\u30fc\u30af\u3063\u3066\u3069\u3093\u306a\u3093\u3084\u308d\u3063\u3066\u30aa\u30c3\u6301\u3066\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u305d\u3053\u3067\u3001\u305b\u3063\u304b\u304f\u4f11\u5b66\u3057\u3066\u3001\u6642\u9593\u3082\u3042\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3001\u30a4\u30f3\u30bf\u30fc\u30f3\u306b\u6311\u6226\u3057\u3066\u3001\u30aa\u30d5\u30a3\u30b9\u30ef\u30fc\u30af\u3068\u306f\u4f55\u304b\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u4e2d\u3067\u7b54\u3048\u3092\u77e5\u308d\u3046\u3068\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

At the beginning of my intern, I was very slow and inaccurate. I myself wasn’t a good intern. I realized that office work is much more difficult than i thought. However, thanks to my nice colleagues, I could get used to doing a office work little by little. What I like the most is learning process. For example, first few weeks, I couldn’t finish making student Id cards on time. I thought the reason why i couldn’t finish my\u00a0 task on time. Then, I repeated trial and error to find a more efficient or accurate way. A few weeks later, I could finish making it on time. I was happy because I could change my\u00a0failure\u00a0into success. Also, I got praised from my colleagues which is not flattery\u00a0but real compliment. As there are more things I am able to do, I feel that I am growing up and I become closer to\u00a0 a real member of my team. I was happy when I felt I contributed to my team.\u00a0 But, from my point of view, I couldn’t become a real member of my team. I ended up with a just intern like an assistant. There are a lot of things that I can’t do more than i can do. I think it might be because I lack of skills such as, how to process excel, English skills, how to use a computer in general and so on. I knew everything needs a plenty of time to be a decent level but, I felt very inferior to my colleagues. That is why I think I couldn’t build\u00a0up my confidence.<\/p>\n

In order to compensate for my lacking confidence, I need to think about what i need to do. I am leaving Australia in a few days and go back to my university. I will find out the answer as soon as i can and carry out what i need to do.<\/p>\n

In my future, i want to be like my colleagues. through this internship, i could see my goal. I will work maybe not in Greenwich but in one of companies in the world. I don’t think i will be able to show off myself that is grown up to my colleges in Greenwich. But, someday, if i am lucky, I have a chance to meet them.\u00a0 If I could meet them, I want to make them astonished. They will see my growth. I need to start preparing for surprising my colleagues.<\/p>\n
